The Food Lab is a Wellington-based production kitchen and premium caterer. It is owned and operated by those who are behind Charley Noble Eatery and Bar. The kitchen was designed with modern technology and an eye for efficiency, with the sole intention for creating delicious food for all occasions.
To us, local and ethically sourced ingredients mean quality, freshness, and an appreciation for the community who created them.
The effort to create a space where the conditions were strictly under our control with limited interrupting variables was imperative. We knew within this environment food could be prepared with efficiency, care and unparalleled consistency.
Thus, providing a service that you know you can count on--where flavor is paramount and high quality is a given.
The Food Lab utilizes such ingredients and prepares them under controlled conditions to create food where the focus can strictly be on the flavor.
Services.
We have the ability to work with you to create the correct menu for your upcoming event or function. This includes corporate functions, private parties, weddings, and morning tea.
We cater to events of all sizes and types, and are keen to help you to feed your guests outstanding food. We can provide both service staff and chefs on the day, or can simply drop off the food.
For reference, we have links to some of our sample menus below. However, we encourage you to contact us so we can work together to create a menu and an occasion to remember.

We proudly support suppliers who provide exceptional products. These suppliers include Te Mana Lamb, Ora King Salmon, Juno Olive Oil, Awatoru Wildfood, Primestar, Moana Pacific Fisheries, and Leigh Fisheries.
We are excited to be partnered with the incredibly talented Maxine Scheckter from Sugar Flour who will provide delicious sweet treats to our catered events.
